Farm Art
Artist Residency
Artist Residency
Step off the concrete and onto the earth....
Farm Art is a small-scale, self-directed artist residency located in the rural village of Bellingwolde, in the north of the Netherlands.
Farm Art is a living, working place shaped by care, attention, and shared responsibility.
It offers artists time and space for rest, research, experimentation, and reflection, away from urban rhythms and institutional structures. Residencies are self-guided and may be entirely process-based, without the requirement of a final outcome.
Farm Art hosts one artist at a time.
Artists stay in a simple, insulated garden hut with a wood-burning stove, surrounded by a working garden. Facilities are intentionally modest.
The residency is best suited to artists who are comfortable working independently, engaging with quiet, rural rhythms, and taking care of their own day-to-day needs.
Duration: 1–4 weeks
Residency fee: €250 per week
Accommodation: private garden hut
Facilities: simple cooking facilities, compost toilet, hot water, bicycle
Residency periods: spring–autumn (May - Oct)
